Shueisha's Grand Jump magazine has begun serializing its new manga Tsutte Tabetai Gal Sawa-san (Gal Sawa-san Wants to Catch Fish and Eat) on June 19, the new comedy and fishing work by mangaka Kazuki Funatsu.

The story of the fishing comedy manga follows Tsuritani, a hard-working young adult, with no particular characteristics and no girlfriend. His only and calming hobby is fishing by the sea on the weekends. But one day his calm and peaceful fishing trip is disturbed when he ends up next to a noisy "gyaru/gal" named Sawa on a fishing boat. Tsuritani ends up teaching Sawa fishing to beginners.
Kazuki Funatsu also published the manga Sundome!! Milky Way in Grand Jump magazine between June 2016 and November 2019. Shueisha published the manga's ninth and final compiled volume in February 2020. It also released a manga titled Sundome!! Milky Way Another End, which featured alternative endings to the original manga between February 2020 and December 2020.
Another manga by the author is Yokai Girls (Yōkai Shōjo -Monsuga-) released in Young Jump magazine by Shueisha in March 2014 and ended in June 2017.
